Treatment and Compliance

Treatment Options

University Services Sleep Disorders Centers can provide ongoing treatment services for your patients with sleep disorders. Consultations with physicians who wish to follow up on their own patients are also available. Referrals to other medical specialists who may be needed for proper treatment will be handled in conjunction with the referring physician.

Compliance Coordinator

University Services’ Compliance Coordinator monitors each patient’s compliance with CPAP treatment for sleep apnea on a routine basis. Patients are contacted within one week of their initial set up to address any concerns they have getting used to the machine and air pressure.

At one month and three months patients are contacted to ensure they are compliant with their CPAP machines. They can come into any one of our sleep centers and provide information allowing us to review their success with treatment. During this process they are invited to try new masks to determine the correct interface that fits.

At twelve months patients are urged to be re-evaluated with an overnight sleep study. At this time they can bring in their equipment to be serviced if need be, and check that the appropriate air pressure is being used.

All of these steps ensure your patients are sleeping better at night and are more energetic during the day.
