Sleep Amount

It may be surprising to many people, but the National Sleep Foundation recommends each adult get 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. Before the invention of the light bulb people slept 10 hours per night on average. Today, thanks to televisions, computers, and cell phones, people sleep on average 6.9 hours per night.
