Sleep Apnea can be Fatal

Every night sleep apnea causes a person to stop breathing in their sleep. These breathing disturbances suffocate the heart, lungs, and rest of the body.

Sleep apnea contributes to hypertension, irregular heart rhythms, and affects 1/3 of all patients with heart failure. It also causes stroke, diabetes, & cardiovascular disease and is as prevalent as adult diabetes and asthma.

These serious conditions all stem from the drop in oxygen when a person stops breathing due to sleep apnea. It limits the flow of blood oxygen through the body, thereby affecting the heart & lungs. It is important to be treated for sleep apnea in order to correct these conditions.
